This is where you can find out about the NZULM data files.
The information on this page refers to the "raw" data files that make up the NZULM. These are compliled from our database and distributed to interested parties on a monthly basis in CSV format.
The NZULM service is owned by the NZ Government and the content provided by this service is made available, free of charge, to users and vendors within the NZ Health Sector and to other interested parties under very permissive licensing terms.
NZULM data is intended to provide aggregated foundation information for the NZ Health Sector, based on a common coding and naming structure provided by the MZ Medicines Terminology (NZMT)
Users of this data will primarily include software vendors,
analysts, and researchers, but the data is available to anyone with a legitimate need.
Clinicians and other medical professionals will generally
access the NZULM data via some kind of software interface
that provides search and other occupational functions.
If you would like to have the latest NZULM data provided to
you each month, please send an email to
support@nzulm.org.nz.
Please provide your name, organisation, and a contact phone number. We will also want to know how you intend to use the data so we can provide suitable implementation guidance and assistance.
The information contained on the NZULM web site and
distributed in the download files is derived from many
different sources.
Information suppliers include the NZ Medicines Terminology, Medsafe
and PHARMAC, the Pharmaceutical Management Agency.
The subsidy information in the NZULM
is taken from the latest version of the Pharmaceutical
Schedule published by PHARMAC.
While every care has been taken in compiling the NZULM, the
